Autumnal Muffins recipe

These sweet and delicious Autumnal Muffins combine all the best flavors of fall into one hearty breakfast snack. Cranberries, apples, figs and hazelnuts are blended into a simple and sweet muffin recipe and baked until tender and fluffy. Butter, cinnamon and nutmeg add a burst of hearty flavor and make these muffins a perfect snack any time. Ingredients list:

¾ c. brown sugar
¾ c. white sugar
3 c. flour
½ tsp baking soda
1 Tbsp baking powder
½ tsp salt
2 tsp ground cinnamon
½ tsp ground nutmeg
1 tsp ground ginger
1 c. butter, melted
2 eggs, beaten
1 ¼ c. milk
1 c. chopped cranberries
1 apple peeled and chopped
½ c. dried figs, chopped
¾ c. toasted hazelnuts, chopped

Instructions:

1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Grease muffin tin and set aside.

2. In a large bowl combine brown sugar, white sugar, flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, and ginger.

3. In another bowl combine butter, milk, and eggs. Mix until smooth. Add to dry ingredients and combine until just moistened.

4. Fold in cranberries, apples, figs, and hazelnuts.

5. Fill muffin tins 2/3 of the way full and bake for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center of a muffin tin comes out clean.
